On 1st December 2005 we were asked to be in two episodes of Eastenders. Elstree Studios are quite near us so it was very easy to get there. We met and talked to many Eastenders characters but we were not allowed to take any pictures with them. A few new youngsters just joined the cast namely Charlie Clements (Bradley), Mat di Angelo (Deano) and Tom Ellis (Dr Oliver) who was knocked down by Dot (June Brown) with her bashed up car. June is a very pleasant lady, she had a problem with her clutch and I told her to have it fixed. Lacey Turner (Stacey) was a bit cheeky and kept splashing Charlie Clements between shootings. We thought that Perry Fenwick (Billy) was a bit full of himself, Joseph didn't like him, but we found Ema Bowtree (Honey) pretty quiet, also Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) kept very much to herself. Barbara Windsor (Peggy) showed a lot of glamour, Joe Swash (Mickey) seemed to be a leader, he had a lot to say to the other youngsters, his real sister Shana Swash (Demi) and Charlie Hawkins (Darren) were running around collecting Christmas decorations and putting them on their door. I had a word with Angela Wynter (Yolande), but like most of the other actors, she seemed to be pretty much uncommunicative with us extras. I liked Laila Morse (Mo), she was a bundle of laughs. In the canteen we ate our lunch next to Wendy Richard (Pauline). Unlike in any other studios we had to pay for our lunch - so much for the BBC generosity. BUT Joseph and I had a marvellous day and we hope to be called back sometime soon.

Albert Square - here I am!         My nails may need attention - the shop was our main base                                  Outside Ian Beale's "chippy"

Joseph inside the chippy shop                                                    Mirek and Sean                                              Joseph ready to gamble

Outside Billy's dodgy shop                      Fronting the Old Vic - near Martin's stall                                                  Time to go home
